SAVE A PET
Whoever said money can't buy happiness, never paid an adoption fee!
AJ's Search and Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue based in Akron, Ohio founded in 2016. We rescue animals and search to find them a forever home. We are a foster based organization that takes homeless dogs and cats into our homes and provide them with proper medical care, food, shelter and love until they find their forever home and get adopted.
To Save Lives, One Paw at a Time! We provide temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals for the purpose of finding them their forever homes.
We strive in getting the homeless animal population to decrease by spaying and neutering all of our animals before they continue their journey into their new home.
Dog of the month
Meet Lola! She is a very sweet petite little girl who weighs just under 40lbs and is around 1.5 years old. Lola has been settling into her foster home where she lives with one other dog. Her favorite spot is on the couch cuddling with her people. It does take Lola quite some time to warm up to her new surroundings and human friends, she will need a patient owner that is willing to encourage her out of her shell. She is crate trained and house broke. She does great with other dogs, has not been around cats or kids. She is ready for her forever home.
Cat of the month
Meet Dart! He is 2 1/2 yrs old. Dart is sweet, fun, and funny. He is a friendly, energetic, affectionate cat who enjoys the company of people. He likes to dart about getting into mischief and loves to play. He is one of those kitties who will want to be with you wherever you are and cries at the door if his people are on the other side. He has shown that he takes some time to settle in to new situations, so he will need a family that will be patient with him for the first week or so while he grumbles and hisses about being in another new place. Older, cat savvy kids are probably ok, but no little ones. He is ready for his forever home.

Hi! I just thought I'd give you a little update on how Vinny is doing. He is adjusting very well. It took only a few days to gain some trust. He is very playful and is always playing with Reeces toys. He is a little shadow!! He follows us everywhere. He's always right on our heels. He definitely does well on a schedule. He eats and in about an hour or hour& a-half, he is asking to go out. We have had absolutely NO accidents in the house
